Laguna de Potosi Guerrero is Barra de Potosi’s coastal lagoon. We have visited this area on several occasions although this was our first time hiring a guide for a boat tour of the lagoon. I think he only charged us about 250 pesos for about an hour or so. It was a beautiful day with blue skies and warm tropical weather. Great for a boat ride and photography :-)

Like all of our trips right now… this one was before the pandemic hit Mexico. We haven’t been traveling since all of this happened for safety reasons. How I would love to go back here for a week! Playa Blanca, Barra de Potosi, and Laguna de Potosi Guerrero are beautiful locations for secluded and authentic Mexico travel.

There are a few homes you can rent in this area on Airbnb, a great site to find and rent places in many parts of the world.

We saw plenty of fishermen making their living. Look how shallow the lagoon is!
On our way home we saw families enjoying the ocean waves…
And even the pelicans love to catch a wave! Signing off, Tina
