We love the beach! And my mom-in-law loves the beach too! So whenever she visits, it’s beach time! We live in Michoacan and it has some fabulous beaches. We rented a home in Caleta de Campos for a few days and it had the best view plus a pool for the kids. We spent all our time in the water, either at the beach or in the pool, because it was HOT! We live only three hours from the ocean but we live in the mountains so we don’t get high temperatures. And we aren’t accustomed to them. Anyway, this vacation was sooo chill, (in a good way), and I highly recommend Caleta de Campos for a visit. It’s just another part of Beautiful Mexico :-)
And that concludes this photoblog of Caleta de Campos :-) Signing off, wishing I was at the beach, Tina

Buy me a cup of coffee
A ridiculous amount of coffee was consumed in the process of creating this project. Add some fuel if you'd like to keep me going ;-) Gracias!

I live in Mexico with my hubby and four kiddos. I keep busy with homeschooling, traveling, and my Bible ministry. I love photography and writing, so I blog. My family is a little nutty but nutty is never boring and always an adventure. And I love adventure!

Love your photos and the kids, especially the one with Tristan rinsing his hair in the ocean. I raised 2 boys so can sure relate. I, also love the ocean and have mostly lived near large bodies of water, but the heat and humidity is just too much for me now, except for a very short period of time. This summer, once again we will be in the Lake Chapala area as we are looking for a place, in Mexico, to retire to and the altitude in that area suits me to a “T’ but your mention of having a home in the mountain really got my attention. There are numerous questions I have for you. You are welcome to send me a pm or e-mail.
Thank you, Sandy. It would be best if you could send me an email at tina@gringoslocos6.com with your questions. Then I can try to help you :-) Have a great week!
¡Hay Dios mío!
Me encantó muchísimo tu fotoblog.
No puedo creer qué entre tantas veces que yo estuve allá en Michoacán, Morelia, Zacapu, Panindícuaro, etc., etc que nadie me consejó ir a conocer a estos hermosos lugares. ¡Estoy celoso!
Anyway, thank you for sharing these fabulous photos of a previous vacation to the beach.
I sure wish I knew then, what I know now, how upsetting that I lost out on so many fabulous opportunities, I almost went to Uruapan, but decided to return to Mexico City again, instead. If only… It also makes a big difference when you know someone personally .
What a good looking puppy your boys met at the beach house, I hope he wasn’t just another street dog.
Thank you very much, Robin! The puppy had been a street dog but the property manager took her in and now she is spoiled and loved :-) Hey if you ever make it this direction look me up and we can have coffee!
Beautiful photos, Tina! I especially love “Just a boat” – I live on a beach in Ecuador and have taken thousands of pictures of boats but I really like yours.
This article was amazing. It has been many years since I have visited that place, fifteen to be exact. I was raised there, and when I saw your pictures, I closed my eyes and felt as if I almost smelled the ocean and could feel my toes on the wet sand. I almost cried I have two daughters, and I would love to take them some day and tell them many stories from my childhood. You photographed many places and views that I have only have in my memory. Thank you so much for sharing!!!
Thank you for sharing! My dad is from Caleta de Campos & I have family there. Try visiting El Muchacho Alegre on the beach, my cousins will take good care of you. I haven’t been there in over 30 years since I was a kid & hope to visit soon. Enjoy your coffee!
Small world! I would love to go back to this part of Michoacan. I want to make a trip of it and drive down the coast all the way to Manzanillo. Perhaps one day :-)
lovely photos.
Thanks Susan :-)

Beautiful calming photos. I haven’t been to the beach since August and I am going through withdrawals. Especially after looking at this pictures.
