Our last stop on our Belize vacation in May was San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico. We took a pretty big detour from our home in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico, but we were determined to attend our last two day Bible assembly. I say “last” because from now on our Bible assemblies will be one day We have two of these per year plus a two day regional Bible convention. Our theme for this assembly was “God’s Word is Beneficial for Teaching” from 2 Timothy 3:16. The kids behaved wonderfully and they met little friends their age. We exchanged emails with their parents so we could meet up in the future. Apparently we are not the only gringos to move to Mexico with children :-)
In San Miguel de Allende we stayed downtown in a home we found on VRBO. It was an awesome house and cheaper then hotel rooms for three adults and four kids. I should have taken photos before we made the house our home for the weekend… unmade beds, dirty dishes, clothes on the floor… you get the idea. I think San Miguel de Allende is more a expensive tourist city because of all the expats that live there. It is a hot spot for retirees. The city is lovely and I hope we can visit again. As always I love seeing your pictures. They are amazing. I can't wait for our regional convention in a few weeks. How many were at your assembly? I'm SK glad the kids are making new friends. They have always been social girls. :) Love you all bunches. Can't wait until September.
