DISCLOSURE: I received Hola! Let’s Learn Spanish for free and was compensated for my time. My opinions are honest and I am not required to post a positive review.
I don’t usually review books but when I was asked to review Hola! Let’s Learn Spanish I was happy to oblige! Our family is trying to learn Spanish and we have been for a while now. Living in Mexico makes it easy but learning in the home is difficult. It is only natural to use your native language when you are in your nest!
A “learn Spanish” book that I could read to my boys was appealing because I thought we could try to spend a little more time in the home learning Spanish together. Our sons are three and six and they are picking up the language simply by living in the country but a little help reading with Mom won’t hurt either ;-)[clickToTweet tweet=”Hola! Hola! Let’s Learn Spanish was written by Judy Martialay. Here is a short description via Judy:
“The book gives children roughly aged 3-10 a fun and easy introduction to Spanish. You can download free audio for the book.
Children take a ride to Mexico on Pete the Pilot’s magic plane.
There, they meet Panchito, Mexico’s favorite Jumping Bean, follow his adventures, learn Spanish, and soak in the culture.
The book contains several fun sections:
- Skits you can perform for family and friends
- Treasure Hunt
- Culture Corner where you learn about bargaining at a Mexican market
- Craft with directions for making a Mexican mask
- Word Index
There’s also a downloadable game to play as a review when you finish the book.
Please see the parents page on the website for tips on how to use the book, resources, and links on learning languages.”
