We love being outdoors. There is something about nature that is calming and enlightening at the same time. When I am stressed out and need a break, a breath of fresh air always seems to help. I think God made it this way on purpose. It’s a natural healing effect of being outdoors.
Our current city in Mexico, Uruapan, is surrounded by beautiful green mountains. Since we moved here I have being listening to them call my name. Good friends of ours, who have recently returned to the States, invited us on a hiking trip to the top of one of Uruapan’s surrounding mountains. On the very tip of this mountain there is a little white church. Whenever you drive through the city you can see the little church on the mountain to the Southwest.
The climb took us about two hours. We did not bring the boys because we thought it would be too much for them and we wanted to spend time with our daughters. It was a beautiful day in Mexico and we were rewarded with magnificent views when we reached the summit. Enjoy the photos :-) Signing off, Tina

So neat to see Jeff & Julie again! Our time in Uruapan was way too short. We lived there long enough to know we would’ve loved to be there longer…please give our love to all. Who moved back to the U.S.???

I am sure by now you have found Sam’s club. Have you found a super market that sells a lot of American type stuff like Rice-O-Roni, good tasting butter or american style chili powder?
Hove you visited any of the following: The National Park, Janitzio, The ruins of the Purepecha (Terasco) empire or the world youngest volcano Paricutin?
We get most of our food from the local traveling markets as they are mas barato ;-) However we do have a Sam’s card too! We love the National Park, and we climbed Paricutin with a four-year-old! Whew!
