I love downtown Morelia! This city is the capital and the crown jewel of Michoacan, Mexico. It has been our home for the past ten months. It literally took me that long to get these beautiful pictures! I finally got the hubby to take me downtown on date day :-)

Morelia is a city full of culture, beauty, and life! It is a large city of more than 760,000 people within the city limits. Morelia started out with the name Valladolid in 1541. It became Morelia in 1828. In 1991, the city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for it’s colonial architecture.

These photos are mostly from the historic center in downtown Morelia. It doesn’t matter what time or day you visit, the center of the city is always bustling with activity. If you get a chance to visit Morelia you will see the beautiful along with the ugly. Unfortunately in large cities, beauty and ugly seem to go hand in hand. Today I am only sharing the beauty! In Morelia, it’s not hard to find. Enjoy a photo tour of Beautiful Mexico!
